The Internet is One of the Contenders for Next Years Nobel Prize

For years now the Internet has powered networks across the world. It connects this blog with visitors, houses the worlds largest sites such as Facebook, Google, Myspace and more.

It connects people from around the world today in ways not imaginable 20 years ago. Knowing how far the internet has come, would you nominate the net for a Nobel Prize? A recent report suggest that the internet is up for a nomination.
